Bullying can happen in many different ways. It can include teasing, being hurtful to someone, ignoring them or hurting them. It can also happen anytime – in person, online, on the phone, in class, on the bus, in your neighborhood or even in your home. Bullying is usually done by people who do not feel good about themselves. They often need to put others down to feel better about themselves.
Being bullied is hurtful, scary and confusing. When bullying is aggressive and physical, it can be dangerous. When it’s emotional – like name calling, or cyberbullying – it’s easy to feel alone.
If you’re being bullied or see someone being bullied, here are some things to do:
